Celebrating LGBTQ+ music in honor of Pride Month!!!
|
It’s the last week of Pride month, and a lot has been going on, both in the world and the LGBTQ+ community. There have been great tragedies, such as the Orlando shooting, and setbacks, such as bathroom bills, but there have also been remarkable strides. The world’s acceptance of LGBTQ+ identities continues to expand, as has recognition of the unique history and contributions of members of the LGBTQ+ community. For example, just yesterday, Barack Obama named the Stonewall Inn a national monument!
Is important for all groups to be well-represented and celebrated in all facets of life. At Genius, we are dedicated to promoting achievement in the arts -- particularly music.
In honor of Pride Month, let's discuss our favorite LGBTQ+ artists, songs and moments within the industry!
